Photographic Collection
The Society has a large photographic collection of more than 12,000 images. This is made up of images acquired directly by the Society over more than 60 years and the collections of a number individuals, either donated in their entirety or loaned for digitisation.
Our policy is to digitise the whole collection and deposit the originals, in the Society’s ownership, with a statutory body where they can be stored in appropriate conditions and be available to future researchers.
We aim to put a representative selection of photos on the website as soon as possible but this is work in progress at present.
