The LYR Digest Series

The aim of the Digest series is to make research and reference material relating to the LYR easier to find and access. Some Digest subjects, such as 25” Ordnance Survey maps, will be in the form of a detailed reference list, together with an introduction and information on how to obtain copies. In other cases, such as working timetables, original LYR documents will be reproduced in facsimile, again with an explanatory introduction.

The series will develop over time and there will be updated versions of Digests as knowledge of a particular subject increases. Copies will be available from this website as PDF files, for users to print out or use on-screen as they choose. A list of Digest subjects currently available will also appear in the Society’s Magazine from time to time.
