AGM & Members Day 2008

The AGM and Members Day will take place in the Wharfedale Suite at the Rendezvous Hotel, Skipton on Saturday 11 October 2008 starting at 10.30am. www.rendezvous-skipton.com

After the AGM is over there will be a buffet lunch available at a cost of £6 per head. There will also be a pay bar if you would like a drink.

Then you can browse around the stalls and chat to fellow members, maybe picking up some back numbers you have missed or admiring the models on display.

There will also be a Society Shopping stall, featuring publications and kits; examples from our collections of photographs, drawings and archive material; a Bring and Buy stall for those bargains you've been looking for and modelling displays and demonstrations.

A special film featuring as much L&YR material as we can find will be the main attracion at this year's AGM and Members Day.

The film show will be at 2pm and will feature shots of L&YR trains in pre-Grouping, LMS and BR days. We can't make copies of the film available for copyright reasons, so the only way to see it will be to come to the event.

After the film show is over there will be more opportunities for browsing and conversation until the event closes at about 4pm.
