Sowerby Bridge Station

An event will be held at the Jubilee Refreshment Rooms, Sowerby Bridge Station on Monday, 22 February, 2010 from 9.30 am through till around 10.30 pm. 

This is a dual purpose event being firstly a proposed reunion of retired railwaymen (and women) from the surrouding area, but also involving an exhibition of various items of (mainly local) railwayana and other transport-related items. 

There is no admission charge, everyone will be welcome, and refreshments will be available all day.

RAILWAYANA EXHIBITION
1 A4 Ring binder holds copies of luggage labels, tickets, handbills & L&Y correspondence. Incudes listing and colour photocopies of tickets found in cellar area of Jubilee Rooms during renovation.
2 A4 Ring binder holds photographs of local stations and railway scenes, including quantity of b/w photos of locomotives on Sowerby Bridge MPD, mainly 1950s and early 1960s.

4 Cast iron mounted sign "Lancashire & Yorkshire Ry.Co."   21"x 2", origin uncertain but believed to be from either Sowerby Bridge station or a local signal box.
