NOV 2008 - Rose Grove book published
The latest Society publication is the first volume of the definitive history of Rose Grove by Noel Coates.
Rose Grove, near Burnley, was a major railway centre in its heyday with marshalling yards for the extensive freight traffic and a locomotive depot.
This first volume includes an historical overview of the area and a detailed look at each location within it. The book contains 159 photographs, many of which have never previously been published, and numerous drawings and tables.
