The main works of the L&YR was at Horwich near Bolton. A large number of drawings produced by the Horwich drawing office survive and are housed in the National Railway Museum at York. Individual drawings can normally be viewed by prior arrangement through the Search Engine facility at the NRM. Check the NRM website for opening times and contact details.
