The Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Society is a registered charity. No. 1098492

In 2003 The Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Society successfully applied for charitable status. By doing this it has enabled us to pursue our aims of disseminating information about the railway using historical information to educate and inform the community at large about this part of our national heritage.
